Just wondering if anyone else has had problems fitting the flashhider to the barrel provided with the UGL? It doesnt seem to want to fit on mine, it seems the threads are too far apart.
Am I being a dumbass or is some serious filing in need? Any pointers would be appreciated!

Re: Star sa80 ugl
This might be a silly suggestion, but have you tired screwing it on in the other direction?
I think the Star l85's flash hider screws on in the oposite direction to normal

No not a silly question at all. I tried that because the thread is reversed but it still wont even reach the thread. Its very strange. Think I am going to have to file it down myself

I didn't have any problems at all, quite a quick job, perhaps bad machining.... Unlikely given that it is star? Did you buy it from new. Any chance you can upload a photo?
