one pull of the trigger vents the gas
8 February, 2010, 16:43
just got a 1911 off of bum_fluff forum member and finally got some gas to test it, and im extremely upset, i was told there were no problems, but after one pull of the trigger on both mags, the gas just vents straight out either through the barrel or shell ejection port, any help or shall i try and return it, thanks

Re: one pull of the trigger vents the gas
Are you testing the mags at room temperature? Could be its cold so the mag vents, quite a common problem with Gas blow backs if used in too cold a climate.
This Post may contain my opinions and if you disagree with them Tough S**T!

Could be that the seals in the mag are worn
or the gun slide sticks open
could be the hammer spring needs replacing

And try a little silicon spray on the valves these can get a little sticky but a quick squirt should sort it.
