  • Quick question for KSC/KWA 18c owners

    Hi all,
Very quick question. Without the slide assembly on the gun if you pull the trigger does the hammer snap into its fire position?
Think I need to re-assemble the trigger components but wanted to start here first.
    Cheers!

No, the full auto sear holds the hammer down until the slide is returned forward.

To release the hammer push the little metal tab to the left of the hammer forward, the hammer will move up very slightly, you can then pull the trigger to release the hammer. Let the hammer up gently, don't let it slam up as this will damage the valve knocker.

Cheers Dave, I think I may have tried this with no luck and on re-assembly of the gun something in the trigger assembly prevented the slide from being racked back at all manually.
With what you've said in mind though I'll have another look tonight.

Cheers guys. Pics are helpful. I also have found an in depth video on YouTube by the most aggravated per-pubescent child which while depressing is helpful.
I'm going to have a look tonight after the pub (potential bad idea)

Ok Dave, bang on with what you said. Presumably this was also part if the reason why before I had obviously mistakenly done this resulting in the sliding getting stuck on the frame. I had to insert a small screwdriver into the back to pull the hammer back down.

Yup! Happens to my g18 all the time with my a+ hop rubber (alas, too much fettling). Quick fix is to hold the pistol in your right hand and slap it down into your left hand so the rail/dust cover on front of frame slaps your palm
