we gen 4 g18c feeding issue

Just a quick one to ask if this should be occuring as I think it shouldnt...

Ive bought a NEW g18c and recieved it yesterday and the rounds in the mag sit fine but the mag will not hold a singular bb on its own... and when the fully loaded mag has been fired... one bb is left but the slide locks back the the bb is sitting either in the breach or on top of the mags feeding lip.... serious fault there I think.
Just wondering whether I should send it back to the store in question and ask for a new gun and mag altogether or just ask for a mag replacement?

Well just an update...it was the loading lips on the mag which actually retain the bb...they were too wide...
