  • PDi Winter type piston head VS Nine Ball Dyna piston

So as part of my upgrades to my 226, I am gonna upgrade the piston. BUT! Do I go for the Nine Ball Dyna piston with the ported head and the floating valve spring, or do I go for the simpler PDi Winter type piston head?

Comments would be appreciated. Any experience with either?

with the standard piston the pdi works well ,can be a bit tight for the after market ones. Its getting the right combo thats the trick .

I have a dyna piston head in my TM MEU, in hot summer temperature is works well but in the cold its terrible. I played a couple of weeks ago and lots of gas was venting out the back of the gun and im sure this was down to a bad o-ring seal form the piston head. I would say to try the PDI head for the next 6 months or so then in he summer maybe consider the nine ball - its really a summer only part imo.
