  • Kwa usp silencing options

As the title suggests I'm considering a project to silence my usp. I am clueless about how to go about it and whether it's even worth doing from a results perspective. I would grateful for any advice on how to do this, what I need to get ect.

    Thanks in advance

To actually make it quiet? Can't really be done to a GBB. You can take a little muzzle pop off, but the noise really comes from the ejection port/slide.

I did wonder how effective a silencer could be. I suppose there is always the tm mk 23 to consider too

All it does is make it a deeper thud and not a higher pop, the sound of your slide slamming backwards and forwards is just as loud. NBB is the way to go for silent pistols unfortunately! (Although I always reason that a gbb pistol with a suppressor can't be that much quieter than a real pistol with subsonic ammo and a suppressor, so its more realism for me :P )

Putting silencers on guns with the dropping outer barrel also causes efficiency issues. The silencer if its a heavy good quality one, pulls the outer barrel down at the front so the slide upon its return has to combat this and work harder.

People ofter just chuck in harder recoil springs to bypass this but still, it causes unnecessary issues and makes NO difference at all. Also makes holstering a problem if you want a solid holster like IMI or Blackhawk.
