WE M4 innrer barrel

I am looking for a shorter barrel about 180 -185mm , first of all would a 6.01 diam be too tight if im going to be using full auto or would it be just fine?

secondly, how can i tell if a barrel is ok for gas? (some specify they are aeg barrels)

Both barrels fit WE GBBRs.

The brass one is WE Gas specific..... Both those groves locate it in the hop unit.

The silver one will fit GBBRs and AEGs.

No.

Compare the cuttings on the silver and brass barrels.

2 cuttings on the brass one
3 cuttings on the silver one

The 2 cuttings are the WE hop unit locators.
The single cutting (first on left of silver barrel) is the AEG fitting.

If you want it to fit WE, regardless of material, it needs those 2 cuttings.

You can modify AEG barrels to fit with the correct application of needle files!
