WE P Virus - Tight bore query

Hello all.

I bought myself a rather lovely WE P-Virus the other day.
I love it but would like to pit a tight bore barrel in it as I want a bit more range.
I know the gun is essentially a tarted up F226 so...

1. Brand: what brands are good, do u have a recommendation? Price wise I'm dony really mind I'm guess they are around the £30 mark?

2. Fit: do I need a 226 specific barrel or can I order any old one that same length e.g. a barrel designed for multiple guns?

3. 6.01 or 6.03? I have a .01 in my rifle and it's super. But I'm told a 6.03 will give me more range in a pistol, is this right?

4. Anything I've overlooked? Like hop up?

Theres a shop that has good tightbore barrels that are 6.02 so the best of both worlds.

And for the 226 are about £25 ish.

Hop i personally like the TM hop rubbers over any other hop rubber, the nineball to me is a waste of money.

Aside from that, a TB barrel is a good upgrade in the 226 as its a little low on power from stock due to its short barrel. If you plan on NEVER removing the comp from the front, you could get a longer barrel in there to up the power, but you would need to remove it and measure it to make sure it doesnt stick out the end.

Cheers mate. What was the shop? And what's a TB barrel?
Funnily enough I lost the compensatory last weekend, it unscrewed itself during the first game!

Can't mention other retailers except the mighty Z1 (All hail Z1!).

A TB is a contraction of tightbore, which is the barrel you seek.

Unless of course we tell you to go to the almighty Zero One for your barrels. Nine Ball do a 6.03mm for the 226.

Lol I didn't warn you off it, just there are 6.02 barrels that are best of both worlds for less monies. The nine ball barrel is great, but it's quite heavily priced.
