gbb sometimes firing full auto when its a semi only gun?

my seal team 6 p228 fires fine then suddenly fires 'full auto' and fails to lock back when empty.
I am not sure why or how as I am not great with technical issues but will try to give more details as poss.

-Gun is semi auto gbb
-model is seal team 6
- fires fine when full gas mag, but as it lowers the gun suddenly fires full auto and fails to lock back when empty , no apparent venting etc

tbh, the gun was preety dry, will strip it down tomorrow and get back to you.

bingo first port of call clean regrease good soaking of the rubber parts in Scilly oil good dry off excess. test again. also while ya at it check the small springs and recoil rod for burs. check hop rubber for swelling and thus pinching on the feed nozzel.

right, done. when you pull the trigger it fires ok, then randomly it only half returns to postion if you get me and not its full position

Sounds like the hammer is slipping and not resetting properly. That's as far as my knowledge with a 226 goes though

is that the slide at half return or the trigger mech. (is it a double action trigger thing? give me a glock any day much not familia he he)

It's the trigger to return it to position, you need to 'flick it' forward the final half stage to return it to set position.
Not much experience with sigs tbh, as people say, I was into flocks also and wished I stayed with them

Broken sear, it happens. A fair few places stock replacement sears

Fixed a sig that did full auto and another that jammed the slide back, both due to broken sears.
