Gun is chewing up the bbs and spitting them out

Hi, Ive just stripped and assembled my Diemaco (read modded WE M4 OB Gen 2), when i fired the BBs either get stuck in the barrel broken or the gun just spits out fragments, what could be the cause? BTW the barrel is a normal WE M4 inner barrel thats been shortened. Help please.

Sounds like a feed problem.
Are you sure the bb is definitely and properly chambered before being fired. Hope it hasn't damaged your barrel.
Also make sure the barrel assembly is seated properly.

I dont think its a feed problem, just due to the fact that the BBs wont roll straight down the barrel when i push them past the hop. The BB's just seem to get stuck half way down the barrel, which is confusing as the barrel is clear with no defects.
