WE 888 (416) Barrel - change out?

Hi,

Tried using the search function but with only barrel registering in the greater than 3 characters search function, I got no where.

Basically does an AEG barrel work in a GBBR?

So, I'm a noob to the GBBR. I have a TM Recoil 416 and a WE Gbbr 416, I changed out the barrel on the TM a while back and WE 416 barrel is a bit longer than I want it, the TM 416 old barrel is the length I want. Can I just swap them out or do GBBRs have different barrel types?

Oh and what is the diameter of the a stock WE 416 barrel.

Inner or outer? I know the outer will be different, I suspect the inner will be the same

Inner. Cool. I know aeg can be different to sniper rifles didn't know if they were different to gbbr. Thanks bud.

Inner barrels are completely different , as are the outers.

You need a WE GBBR specific inner barrel. Don't waste your money on the overpriced POS ones from RA-Tech, Angry Gun barrels are significantly better.

Not entirely true, VSR barrels also work, the WE M4 in my sig has an ORGA inner made for a longer length VSR, as it was the least variation in length to the 16" outer (Meant for a WA btw) I was using on it.

But for your purposes a VSR barrel would be quite impractical as you would have to drastically re size it and recrown it.
