We gbbr pdw empty mag problems :(

Been wrestling with this for a long time now, and it's severely f*cking me off.
Is there a way to make my WE m4 gas magazines lock back on empty every time? It seems that they sit just too low to actuate the bolt catch. And yes, i have checked all the switches on the magazines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1) Does it happen with all mags?
2) If you lock the bolt back, how much up and down movement is there on the magazine? (Push it up and down)
3) If you push up on the bottom of the magazine when firing, does the bolt always lock back? (Assuming enough gas)
