Disposal of green gas canisters
1 December, 2014, 09:12
Does anyone have any informed advice on how/where to dispose of drained greengas cylinders.
Can they go in regular waste? Should they be fully emptied/depressurised etc.
Cheers.

Re: Disposal of green gas canisters
You can bung them in household recycling collections, along with other aerosol cans.

Re: Disposal of green gas canisters
I normally drain them completely (hold them upside down and depress the nozzle til NOTHING comes out anymore, not even air) and then bang a hole in the side with an awl, after that they're just recyclable metal

Re: Disposal of green gas canisters
as above. completely empty, then pop a hole in the side. its now not a pressurised container. pop it in the recycling.

Re: Disposal of green gas canisters
I refill them! You can buy an adapter in ebay for the orange propane gas cans and you can refill (some) Colemans cans and get cheap propane

Re: Disposal of green gas canisters
i assume by his use of the term, greengas, he means the standard non-refillable airsoft stuff.
