TM 1911 external parts upgrade

I'm looking to get a stainless outer barrel and bushing set for my TM MEU, but I'm not too technically savvy and ideally looking for a straight drop in replacement. I've heard Guarder are very hit and miss, so my question is what brands should I be looking at? Or am I looking for the holy grail and what I'm after simply doesn't exist? Any help/advice would be appreciated!

I was looking at Shooters Design, they seem pretty decent quality and not as expensive as some of the others out there

So if I was to go with a Shooters Design barrel, what about a barrel bushing? Are they compatible with anything in particular?

What do you mean? A 1911 barrel bushing will fit a 1911...

Aye, but I wanted to make sure that certain designs will fit the SD barrel. For example, on one website it says that Nova barrel bushings will only fit Nova barrels and SD bushings will only fit SD slides, not the standard slide.

Ah. Not too sure on that one. I would imagine that a Shooters design bushing will fit the original slide
