Magnified Optics on Gas Rifles
10 January, 2017, 10:10
Hi all,
I'm hoping to pick up a WE SVD in the next couple of weeks, and will need to sort a scope for it.
Obviously the 1st choice is a PSO-POSP, but with exchange rates the way they are, it's easily adding another £100 to the cost I paid a year or so ago, which is making it a prohibitively expensive prospect.
What I'm toying with doing is going slightly more western with it, and running a rail over the top and a western optic on it, for example a Spectre or some other form of magnified sight.
What are people's recommendations on magnified sights, that won't lose their zero after a days skirmish? The SVD I've read is right near the top with produced recoil.
Cheers!

Re: Magnified Optics on Gas Rifles
VisionKing short dot?
It's a decent real steel optic, even at circa £65, so it should hold its zero better than much of the 'airsoft' scopes

That's a good shout I'd forgotten about them. How do I tell which ones are genuine and which ones are fake?

I bought mine on eBay from this person:

Apparently the official UK Vision King importer, but appears to have packed up.

Re: Magnified Optics on Gas Rifles
I second Vision King
I have a couple of their optics, including the short dot, and it is a great sight. Far better than the price tag would suggest it ought to be.
Away from UK until June / July. Happy to still buy but sales will be harder due to not being home.
Wanted:

VFC 416c, 416d AEG
HERA arms Glock chassis

Yep - Vision King are great. Also they have official outlets on AliExpress and DHGate, as well as the drop-shippers in the UK via eBay that Fizzy mentioned.

Alright, I'll give one a go! Hopefully if I do the the WE one then it'll take the recoil.
