Cold weather gas

Pretty simplistic question this guys, for the Tech section anyway, but is propane, as good as black gas in colder weather ? thanks.

Re: Cold weather gas
There has been loads of posts on this
I found Gaurder Power Up gas works for my WE M4, but extreme cold go for Mapp pro gas.
Propane will work but pressure wont be the same in cold and cool down will happen faster compared to Mapp.

Re: Cold weather gas
Does Mapp Pro do better or about the same as Guarder Power Up? I'm using Rothenburger Propane at the moment and it seems very powerful with my pistols but somehow inconsistent with the PTS/Mega MKM.

Re: Cold weather gas
So Mapp gas is, in effect, a propane too is it?

Re: Cold weather gas
No mapp pro is not propane
MAPP Pro is propene/propylene, which is at around 133psi at room temp, roughly 20psi more than propane
Gaurder is little less at 110psi

Oh yeah, TMs can't take much power. I believe that they should use Duster Gas intended for blowing out computers.

Re: Cold weather gas
I've got a can of each, the Red 3.0 is billed as being for cold weather use and certainly seems a bit more consistent than the propane, the Black 4.0 I've only used once and maybe it doesn't seem quite as good as Guarder Power Up. Although with GBBs there are so many factors it can be difficult to tell what's happening.

Re: Cold weather gas
To be clear Black 4.0
seems
more powerful than Red 3.0 but Power Up seems better than both, despite Red being specifically for the cold. Or so **** ********* told me.

Re: Cold weather gas
Nuprol 3.0 is crap!
The 4.0 or Black bottle is ok, used it for 2 yrs then swtiched to Guarder and noticed the difference!
But Mapp Pro is safest bet just DO NOT use in plastic guns!

Re: Cold weather gas
Great knowledge on here as usual guys, thanks for all the responses.... Next question from me is, if as it seems, Mapp pro, is the best in colder weather, why not use it all year round?
