We hi capa 3.8 dead?
27 July, 2010, 14:30
Hello, I am new to these forums and I really hope I can get some help here.
I have owned my WE hi-capa 3.8 for two and a half years and I have a problem with the trigger mechanism.
When the gun is put togeather, the trigger is very stiff to pull, and when it is pulled, it just remains in, it does not spring back out.
The cocking hammer at the back of the gun does not stay down, loaded, it just springs back up.
I have tried the videos on YouTube on how to properly strip the airsoft down completely and the trigger mechanism and springs, I see all the comments and see how everyone else manages to get their what they thought, dead hi-capas back alive, however my problem does not what to go.
I also saw some forum which has a diagram of the 1911's trigger mechanism, but again my problem still remains.
I am really at the stage of giving it to someone that can repair it, as I really love it and enjoy using it, and now it's dead.
If anyone can help me out, I am based in London, or if anyone wants to give me some advice on how to fix it or if you want some pics, please post.
Thank you.

Re: We hi capa 3.8 dead?
Have you tried getting a new hammer mech? or even just a new leaf spring at the back? if not, i suggest the latter first!
My hammers not cocking back far enough, and so, the slide is being caught on the hammer and wont recoil forwards... a new leaf spring, and it will be as good as new!
if you do send it off... i would recommend a specialist that has a centre for shooting which is in the elite airsofting market... (thats confused even me...)
But yeah, email them and ask...
BUT FIRST!!
Get a new leaf spring

My leaf spring looks fine, Been over it several times
Actually, i wish it was the leaf spring, so i could at least know the problem lol. Hmm, it looks as if it's going downhill. Anyone have any suggestions of places i can get it fixed within the A406? Thank you. I might post some pics up soon if my camera is functioning.

Sounds like youve put the leaf spring in wrong as thats the only cause for a stiff trigger this is how it should look

That's exactly as I have it. The middle prong and the prong to the right is going over the big rectangle attached to the trigger. I'll get the pics up real soon.
