No, selector on the side of the slide

mine is...but it didnt start out that way..
no they are semi/of full auto

I fixed one that had the same issue. When they are a bit worn the blowback unit isn't low enough to engage the sears in the lower frame.

I used the metal from a coke can, cut to just smaller than the size of the blowback unit and put that in the topslide first when putting it back together. Not sure how many pieces i put in now. but it lowers the internals slightly.

Single shot worked after that.

Take the slide off. Take the grub screw out from under the rear site and that pin out the back. Then im pretty sure the selector comes out (its been a few years since i did this fix, ha) Be careful not to lose the tiny bearing that clicks the selector into place.

Then i think its a screw underneath the blowback unit and the whole thing should come out. Be careful of the little selector cams etc dropping out. It can be a bit of a pain getting them back in the right way but its not too bad.

Once its out its a case of finding something to put in the side that'll sit on the blowback unit when you put it back and make it lower. I used the side of a coke can as it was thin and also silver, my slide was polished and whatever you put in your gonna see through the gap in the top of the slide. Im sure it took more than one piece to shim it to the right height.

Thats probably as detailed as i can be mate, its been a while now. If you've had your slide apart before it should be a breeze.
