Maximum time to leave cocked
6 August, 2010, 23:44
Just wondering, when I skirmish, I usually cock my pistol then holster it so it will fire straight away when removed, I was just wondering if this was bad for the pistol and if there is a recommended maximum time you should leave your gun cocked for.

Re: Maximum time to leave cocked
Uncocked puts pressure on the weak part of the impact hammer (well does for glocks anyway).
So I don't think it really makes any major difference!

Disassemble the whole trigger assembley between games, then no worries and no stress/ strain on any parts :D

Re: Maximum time to leave cocked
As with AEG springs, leaving a spring compressed for a while, wont hurt it as much as the compression decompression cycles it gets put through when in use. Don't worry about it.
