General Gas gun maintenance
7 August, 2010, 20:39
So tips/advice for storing/cleaning gas using weaponry?
Do you store with gas in the magazines or not?
Often should you silicon it?
At the moment I own a pistol and more recently a gas shotty, just curious as to other peoples regimes for cleaning!
[QUOTE=archangel;463445]. At the end of the day, we are (generally) a group of young or middle aged white men playing with toys guns in the woods, never forget this.

Re: General Gas gun maintenance
I clean my GBBR as per a real rifle.
Gas mags are kept with gas in keeps the seals in good condition, use maintenance gas, or any gas really
My gun is completely degreased and regressed with abbey silicon GREASE not oil, oil on metal on metal will ruin your weapon.
Gun is cleaned after every skirmished, that is when i can take it skirmishing (weekender)

Re: General Gas gun maintenance
I put a few rounds through my gas mags every few weeks if I haven't used them. I feel it helps to keep things moving, where storing with gas in (which I also do) just keeps the o-rings under pressure.
I always store mine with ultra in them.
