5-7 slide and mag problems

Hi all.

I've just got my first pistol, a tm 5-7. epic thing, but being new to gbbs I've got a couple of questions:

Is there a particular knack for loading the mags so they correctly double stack and don't jam?

At the moment the slide isn't locking back on an empty mag. If I hold the slide release catch up the slide will stay back, but as soon as I let go of the catch the slide racks forward. The catch does get pushed up by it's spring, but it doesn't seem to go quite far enough. Easy fix?

Totally fill the mag up with gas, and put in one BB.

Rack it, and then fire. Does the slide stay back then?

Load the mags slowly with bb's, if youre using a speedloader only put like 3 or 4 bbs in at a time then shake it a bit to get them to stack properly.

Never had a problem with mine not locking back, perhaps you got a dodgy one? What gas are you runing it on?

Fails to lock in every circumstance, on four different mags. Using predator.

What gas you using?

With an empty mag just pull the slide back. It should stick!
