TM 1911a1 mis-fire?
3 October, 2010, 20:49
After using my TM on saturday only a couple of times I dedcided to empty my mags(4) over the range with the strangest of results.
Only every 3rd shot seemed to be "full" power the others sounding like I'd describe as miss-firing.
Using propane normally with a spattering of "canned" gas and I usually add silicone oil at the beginning of the day,but as I'm only doing 6~8 mags in a day I didn't add it this time for fear of overdoing it with the oil,can you over oil?
Is it as simple as lack of oil or could it be something more sinister....
Cheers..

The AI propane adaptor says only to put oil in every 6-8 mag fills.
Over oiling in the mag can have adverse effects on your hop and your accuracy.
Try dismantling the gun and giving it a good clean and relube.

Sounds like it may be simply lack of oil then(approx' 12 mags without oiling),I'll strip and clean anyway.
cheers...
