  • TM 1911 problem

    Hi

I have a Tokyo Marui 1911 and lately I have been only getting 5 to 8 shots from a magazine when I should be getting 20+
Has anyone got any idea to the problem?

Cold. Try warming the mags up on an electric heater or radiator, and try it then.

Also, what gas are you currently running?

First thing I tried leaving the mag to warm up on the heater but it still uses all its gas in under 8 shots

what gas are you using mate,

try looking at the seals on the mags, if they are dry , lube them with silicone oil,

also look at the slide rails , clean then free of dirt,
and the recoil springs on the feed nozzle , keep them clean and lubed
maybe worth cleaning the release valve on the mag as grime and dirt can cause the release valve to stay open for longer ,

I am using Abbey Ultra so should have enough kick
Will have a look at the mag valve, also clean and lub the gun. Will let you know how I get on.

            Update.

I have taken the pistol apart and cleaned and lubed it as well as the magazine. Now getting on average 17 shots per mag but guessing thats only because of cold weather? Assuming its fixed.
Many thanks for all the help and advice.

Yep, that would be normal in this cold.
