just got a aw338 in a trade, it seems to be running a bit low fps, 350 top. could this be because i am running propane and the extra pressure requiring a stronger hammer spring? i have 3 mags and its the same with all.

    thanks
    paul.

Have you checked to see if it has the pcs bolt mate

As many do without advertising it

Propane and the hard hammer should be hitting 440 plus

Depends what ammo your using to chrono it .

Also check the seals mate as you go

What would the pcs adjuster look like? I am using .2 ammo and the gun is standard apart from a tightbore. All the seals seam fine?

        Re: well aw338

the PCS is the actual bolt mate,

the reviews and guns ive used from well ( .338 ) all hit the 400 plus mark on fps

        so check the bolt over

WELL Dont feature a PCS bolt as far as i am aware?

check for air seal problems mate, well aw338's have o rings problems out of the box giving low FPS, check over all the air seals, nozzles, o rings etc. and make sure the hammer spring aint weakened either.

The WELL bolt is adjustable as stock but can be a nightmare to undo the screw to adjust it

so it may well be a weak hammer spring, 1st - where is the adjustment on the bolt?

IIRC it is on the bottom of the bolt about an inch behind the nozzle but then it has been a while since I took one apart and only did it once or twice as my screw was seized
