  • HELP..MP9

can any one help.my friend who has been airsofting for years has come across a problem with his gas mp9.its quite new and was used a couple of months ago.He tested it tonight for 2morros game and thats were the problem started. fully gased up mag and bb"s, as soon as you fire on semi it would disperse one round and then fail. on full auto, it would fire but nothing would come out. stop firing, and 3 or 4 bb's would fall out the spout. he changed to different gas and bb's, but no change.on semi, always one disprsed bb and then nothing with one bb stuck in the spout.on auto , nothing and then 3 or 4 tumble out. any ideas please.

these guns need a lot of maintenence to work properly...it probable needs a complete strip, and a good cleaning, the hop rubber may be contaminated with gunk, they should not be lubricated

            Re: HELP..MP9

If you look in the chamber, you might see that the inner barrel is sitting forward a little, when it should spring back so the hop ring is flush, with the outer casing of the hop. This prevents the loading nozzle from sealing properly with the hop rubber.

The inner barrel on this, and the KWA/KSC Mac11, slides within the outer barrel and hop assembly. Strip the inner barrel out and grease it well with white lithium grease.

Of course, do check that the hop isn't wound all the way on (although it should still work), and don't use poor quality, own-brand, or unbranded BBs.

As said previously. the gun does require maintenance, but carefully stripping it and using white lithium grease works wonders on the bolt mechanism etc. Don't get it in the hop of course!
