M9 not striking the mag valve hard enough
27 June, 2011, 17:45
As above, recently brought a Kjw M9 in non working condition. Testing the slide on my TM m9 and it works a treat so i knew it wasn't anything to do with that as the gun wasn't cycling fully. Go home tonight and gassed a mag up and put it in the Kjw with no slide on and pulled the trigger, it puffed so I did it again and then it semi slowly released the gas. Do the same test in the TM and it vents the whole thing in one touch in a big glorious cloud of gas.
So my thinking is a new trigger spring. What's everyone else's thought?
Cheers James

Check to see if the striker that hits the bag of the mag is moving freely . If that's ok then its the hammer spring that's week and needs replacing

Re: M9 not striking the mag valve hard enough
are you using a co2 kjw mag ? Ive notice some kjw mags flow valves get done up too tight in the factory and will not open enough when struck to blow your slide back correctly or even at all. for a gas mag you need to check the flow valve and maybe change it for a co2 mag you simply need to take it appart undo the needle that is infact a screw and then put a tiny bit of tread lock on the screw and do it up but not too tight theres a little line on the bit that gets hit you want that line to be a few mill above the highest bit of the valve casing.
If the valve is fine then theres a hammer spring or firing pin issue you can drop a bb under the firing pin to make it stronger as a test and you can take out the firing pin and compair it to a new one to know if that is mashed.

Oh when will I get a decent knights stoner LMG aeg ?
P mags up for sale
