Pistol Hop Fail

Hello all, i have just loaded my KWA Glock 17 and my KSC USP compact today to test them before the weekend. I noticed that both guns were dropping bb's after about 30ft (10m) so i guessed that the hops were off. I increased the hop to max on both guns and got the same result. Next i checked that the hop nub was actually engaging the bb. So off came the slide and outer barrel and i could clearly see the hop nub was going to engage the bb. I have kept trying but with no improvement.

Strange as exactly the same is happening to both guns. Doubly strange when both guns were working fine two weeks ago.

Only thing i have changed is this new bottle of Abby Ultra gas. (The tub is filled with silicone oil) could this oil be effecting the hop up on my Gas pistols?

have you got silicone oil on the hop rubber, or in the barrel as this will trash the hop effect

strip the gun clean it and lube where needed
