Weird safety mess-up
14 February, 2009, 15:49
Righty guys. I just fitted the following upgrades to my desert eagle:
Guarder electroplated silver metal slide and frame
Guarder high flow valve
KM 6.04 tightbore barrel
Freedom Art glow sights
Guarder polycarbonate loading muzzle
I've noticed my safety is not working properly. The problem is definately in the slide (I've tried a different slide with the metal frame and the safety works fine on that).
I've put it all back together properly. I know that small metal piece that goes in the back part of the slide that comes down when the safety is clicked on. It may be something to do with that but I'm not totally sure.
The problem with the safety is that when I click it on, I can still pull the trigger down and I can slightly pull the slide open too. It stops it from firing with the safety on, but I don't like the slide moving when it's on.
Anyone ever had this and can you offer me any advice please?

Re: Weird safety mess-up
Probably to do with your metal kit mate, or something inside not re-assembled properly. However, since no one else here I'm sure has got the metal kit for the Desert Eagle I couldn't tell you for sure :P. I'd just give re-assembling it a go.
