Classic Army M24 Hop Mod/Improvement
4 April, 2012, 19:21
Just wanted to post a little Mod I have completed on my CA M24.
It involves placing direct pressure on the hop arm of the standard CA hop (arm) using a grub screw through a "tapped" hole above it. I've never been satisfied with the way the standard Hop works so after some thought came up with this.
It's basically very simple and probably been done else where before but thought i'd post it up non-the-less.
It removes the need for the stupid O-ring applying reverse pressure to the Hop arm after you've adjusted it with the tiny grub screw from the underside.
I used an M3 grub screw 8mm long but would use a 5mm in game as the 8mm is a little long. The 5mm looks almost flush with barrel so doesn't spoil the looks. Some PTFE around the grub screw also comes in handy, stops any movement.
Have fired over 200 rounds (.36's) and it hasn't moved a Mil!
Here's the photos...best i could do!
Cheers
Ben
