  • Radio/walkie talkie help

    Hi all,
I have zero experience with airsoft comms and I've gained a little interest after acquiring a Motorola GP360.

Basically I was wondering if it's best to have a pair or radios or can I simply turn up with my single Motorola, tune it in and chat to my team mates?

Obviously I'd have to get hold of a compatible headset and mic but theoretically could this work?

    Cheers all

    Re: Radio/walkie talkie help

That depends on which version you have; UHF or VHF.

In the UK you can use the licence free UHF PMR frequencies and then yes, you could talk to your team mates if they too are on the PMR frequencies (regardless of which model they have).

Or you could buy a licence.

The GP360 appears to cover the right range and step sizes to work with PMR446.

Unfortunately, the Motorola GP360 is too powerful to legally use on PMR446 frequencies.
