Re: Integrally suppressed AR-15 project
So here it is!
Kept the crane stock in the end as SS is hard to work with.
The inner barrel ends about 60mm from the end of the silencer which is packed with foam. the gun is silent but heavy. If I had to do it again I would use aluminium or thinner SS.
Its also got:
Fireworks ARES mosfet
Sorbo pad
AOE corrected
SHS shims
SHS bearings
SHS 13:1 gears
G&P M160 High Torque motor
Will be adding a sniper style 4x scope for next summer
Please let me know what you think and ask any questions.
I will eventually get better pictures with my DSLR but this is it for the moment
I know what i said because i was standing here when i said it.

Re: Integrally suppressed AR-15 project
well its actually a banister rail and end cap that I had sent in from Germany as they have that size. its then held into the rail with grub screws. I had a catering stainless steal company drill the back and end of the cap out. Then I welded a flash hider into the back of the end cap, extended the original M4 outer barrel so the flash hider screws into it. That means I can unscrew that end cap and it comes off with the flash hider. it all comes apart easily.
I love the look but its bloody heavy, next one I do ill choose aluminium or thinner SS to save weight.
Glad you like it.

Is the massive silver tube filled with foam? If so, how does it sound? Looks awesome!

Looks good but in RL wouldn't the Sun reflecting off the Stainless give your position away?

Re: Integrally suppressed AR-15 project
I think that anyone elite enough to play with this will either not need camo (police) or would spray the whole gun anyway.
Civvies would probably just leave it as is for bling

Re: Integrally suppressed AR-15 project
I just realised that I built something similar with acog and mini dot on angled ris but with sorter barrel.
Keep going.

In real life? Look on YouTube in real life people rock all sorts of bling and bright colours. The military are the ones who don't.

I just play with it as is. I love the look, that's why I spent the time to build it. It attracts a lot of attention in the safe zone. I've not yet had a problem with people seeing me more than usual and because its so quiet it actually helps me be a bit more stealthy.

Re: Integrally suppressed AR-15 project
Finally some pictures
This is my integrally suppresser AR-15 that I made last year. Stuck a different scope on it. It has a full stainless steel suppressor that runs all the way to the lower receiver.
Noveske rail
13:1 gears
Fireworks Ares mosfet
G&P M160 motor
Its an ICS so I have 2 upper gearboxes.
I throw my acog on and set it to 3 round burst with SP90 spring and get 360fps
Sniper scope, single shot SP120 spring and get about 425fps
Let me know what you think. Sorry if the pictures come out crap but I cant be bothered to edit them at the moment and its been a year without posting any proper photos so im putting this up now while I have time
