Technical drawings

ok I know this is a massive longshot, but I'm just wondering if anyone has the dimensions/technical drawings for an M4 single point sling plate?

its a simple plate and I don't know how companies can charge £15+ for a 2" square piece of steel! I'm an engineer and could rattle one off in about 15-20 mins using hand tools!

I thought I'd just ask to see if anyone has a drawing before I have to strip my rifle to draw up my own plans.

oh and if I do get some dimensions I'll put them up for everyone.
