outer barrel fitment

Does anyone know if a JG m733 outer barrel will fit a G&G gr16? i want to shorten mine down a little.

iirc JG Barrels have lugs at 3 o'clock & 9 o'clock positions that have to be ground down/cut off before they will fit

there is a G&P front set for an xm177 in for sale but its looks like an expensive way to do it just for the outer barrel

Barrels quite often come up for sale here and at other Forums it's just a matter of trawling through the adverts .

JG barrels (or my 14.5" m4 barrel made by JG) do have those lugs - G&G bodies (according to google) have space for said lugs, so I wouldnt sweat it. It may fit, it may not fit. The TOLERANCEs (not some made up word that airsofters love) may not permit assembly though - as with all things in this hobby some filing/sanding/an evening with your dremel may be necessary.
