Sounds a little dangerous, unless the trap is fully encased. I personally wouldn't be too happy as I tend to crawl around a lot and thus wouldn't want to put my fingers in it. But it does sound interesting all the same.

I made some electronic ones years ago but had to can the idea - they were cost effective and very reliable... but they fired BBs a quarter of an inch into frozen solid trees in the mid of December!

A little too much bang for your buck

The best bit was it was detonated by a lego sound and light box with a 9 volt battery!

There are alot of people who have made them like the acm, gamma and supercell ones with a spring loaded net, they seem to work quite well
