What size allen key is needed to undo most pinion gears?

As the title says, it seems i dont have the right size and need to get the pinion off my element motor as its a little too big.

its either 1.2mm or 1.3 it seems to very mate

What he said! Maplin sell a precision allen key set that has everything from 0.3mm up to 2mm (also has the 0.7mm key you need for ksc G18s in it!)

I have a beauty of a allen key set, 1.2 seems to be the only one it doesnt include haha

Briliant my local tool shop man said it would take 6 to 8 weeks for him to get them in stock even then it wasent garenteed

Ive found the ones I have are all 1mm allan keys. A PITA to get, and a PITA to keep in one piece.
