noveske low profile gas block on non free float

hi so i have a cyma m4 cqbr and i want to replace the front sight with a noveske low profile gas block gas bloc.jpg
will this keep the ris in place or will i have to buy a free float instead.

Yes it will.

However

It is only secured to the barrel with two small Allen key screws, so you might be advised to drill a couple of "dimples" in the right place on your outer barrel for that little extra security.
