Re: Mp5k and pdw help
Is it not as simple as removing the rear plate and replacing with a sliding stock?

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
The guns in the pictures are normal MP5 bodies with the K front end.

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
They are custom built by the looks of it.
Most likely a mix of body parts from the MP5K and regular MP5. It isn't as simple as sticking a MP5K front end on a MP5 or a MP5 sliding stock on a MP5K.
It can be done but will need to be a specific build and require the parts needed. Kudos to you if you want to build it.

Cockneys vs zombies, Awesome film
The back end on the K is different so you will have to do as Blytm said and use a k front end on a standard body, Just keep your eyes open for the parts in the classified section

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
you cant build an airsoft one really.. as mp5k front end and upper receiver are all one piece, which is glued to the rest of the upper receiver.

No they're not. The vert grip section of the K is removable, as that's what you remove to fit the battery. That's the bit you'd need, and then somehow fit it to the MP5

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
You used to be able to get a MP5K front end on it's own which could go on any of the range. That plus a normal body and sliding stock = job done.

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
ok.. you can remove the front hand guard.. but the upper out barrel assembly and cocking handle ect are all part of the top receiver. if were being pedantic you can remove the fuse box as well as the front sight, but neither of which is considered the front end.

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
But all he'd need to do is get hold of the vert grip section and fit it to the foregrip of his MP5. Why would he need to replace the whole front end?

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
the vert grip section is all one peice bar the grip itself, once thats removed using the pin, the rest of the gun is one bit, bar the lower receiver.
Thats certainly true for Galaxy, TM and CYMA ones. And seeings as the top receiver is the main reason a sliding stock wont fit, then thats where the issue is.
If you look at my signature pic, the part above the green hand guard is solid all the way to the stock, that seam line is 2 parts but is glued together.

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
surely its easier to file/cut off the blocking pieces off the sides of the mp5k then just fit the retracting stock, far less involved than replacing the front end, barrel ,hand guard, front sight etc etc.

Re: Mp5k and pdw help
mp5k butt plate fits inside the receiver, standard mp5 one goes over the receiver, and im 99% sure theyre different shapes. both look like a bottom heavy 8 from the back, but its too much to fit. weather one to fit a G3 would fit, thats another story.

It all depends on if the maker of your MP5k/MP5 makes the upper a one piece unit.
I think Cyma CA and TM make it all in one so the front portion can't be separated from the rest of the upper.
Like so, all in silver is one piece.
However ICS make their uppers so that the front portion can be removed from the rest of the upper receiver.
Like so.
So if ICS did a MP5 and an MP5k the project would be more than possible.
But unless the 3 makes that make both the MP5 and MP5k have the ability to separate the barrel sections from the rest of the upper then you project is a bit stuck.
Can't you just remove the blocking sections and fit a sliding stock?
