Drum mag
12 April, 2013, 14:09
I treated myself to a nice new shiny cyma 048m (AKM), whilst I will be using mids I had an idea for a project...
Basically drum mag - rip out insides, araldite a sh!t load of material similar to that flexible shower cord (though about 6.05 internal diameter) all the way around the walls of the magazine and back up to the top.
Drill a hole in the top to allow to be able to open up the hole for servicing etc.
Fill tubing with springs similar to those used in single stack mags
If feeling adventurous I may attempt to build a tracer unit in to the top of the mag.
Now whilst I can see a lot of problems that may, and probably will occur witht his build wondering if anyone has done anything similar to this? Also for advice and help etc.

Re: Drum mag
Sounds interesting - I've been thinking about doing something similar with an AK quad stack mag to produce a higher capacity midcap, let me know how you get on!
