ics m4 upper reciever

thinking about having a bit of a chance with my ics m4, what other makes of barrels will fit the reciever and would i still need to use the original ics hop unit?

All the barrels available will fit the ICS hop unit mate.

As far as I know, only the ICS hop unit will only fit your rifle. ICS tend to get very arsey and don't like any other standard parts that will fit your bog standard TM m4 etc.

The only cheap option i had when i wanted to change outer barrel length on my iCS M4 was to go from an M15A4 length outer to a CQB length barrell. i found that the iCS M15A4 length barrell is actually a 2 piece unit, so i unded the top half, and attached a short outer barrel extension to the standard 14mm negative thread, job done.

I'm looking to do the same as what you said. Where abouts does the barrel seperate and is it an ics part you put on it?
