Noveske free float rail

Right I have a noveske free float rail and a g&p vltor upper I cannot get them to screw together not even a little bit the barrel nut on the rails is a little to small I know they did make a barrel nut for g&p receivers but everywhere I've looked is out of stock does anybody have any ideas or know somewhere I can take it that can retread the receiver to take the rails? Would a bog standard metal factory be able to do it or would it have to be an airsoft tech? Please help. Bloody g&p wish I had got the king arms one as it is I spent hrs modding the lower to take a modify torus mech box.

some one was selling the rethreading tool on this forum i'm sure, if not a lot of place's sell it ( made by madbull )

Ok will look into it cheers if I can't get one or don't feel comfortable doing it any idea of somewhere to take it I live in Sussex

its an unusual size. I have the rethreading tool. It takes a bit of patience, some oil to lube it and some strength to turn it. I added a Noveske rail to an ICS in the projects section.

You can still get the barrel nut but it needs to be ordered abroad

ive got one too, they are die nuts, so lots of care needs to be taken as it would be quite easy to snap the reciever....

but with care and patience, its easy to do. and yeah, the thread is very unique, m31.8 X 1.5 which even a specialist tap and die company ask wtf it is.....
