Installing a RIS front end
30 March, 2010, 10:26
I have bought a RIS front end for my M4...every time I try and install it the RIS rails are never in line with the receiver (i.e when looked at sqaure on from the barrel end of the AEG, they look more like this x than this + if that makes sense)
Anyone got any hints or tips at how to install the RIS so the rails line up correctly?

Re: Installing a RIS front end
i have done this in reverse a few times so will try to help
to save struggling with the securring ring - take the front sight off
then you can play around with the other end connection
ris secures an the spikey wheel which may need a little turn
see if that helps

Re: Installing a RIS front end
managed to get it installed, but still can't get the rails to sit square...they always seem to be off center.
I think I need a gas tube to stop the ris rotating too far.......

Re: Installing a RIS front end
hey hellfish
i had the same problem with my noveske rail. i tried hammering the nut to make it line but it didnt work, so i just put a magpul xtm pannel over the gap between the body and the ris. it holds it straight and never wiggles. works like a charm
and i still wanna buy that jg gearbox and a h-nub from you...still got it?
