  • Creating custom, rubberized polymer parts

So i have a project in mind for building a very special aeg from scratch , for the most part it wont be TOO tricky however there are some parts that i would like to have a rubberised texture and a bit softer than the rest of the gun (rubberised butt pad, hand rest and part of the pistol grip) as for the most part the gun is metal and i doubt it would be the most comfortable thing to have metal butt jabbing you in the shoulder :p

im not entirely sure what method to look into to go about making these parts as im not the most knowleged person in this sort of field so id need a hand with what kinds of materials i should be looking at and how i should get the shapes im after

    many thanks for any help

+1 to the above. You can make anything out of it.

hmmmm interesting, and i could put this into a mould and it would harden up a bit? remember it needs to be able to take constant friction against things like gloves and clothing
