How to: Convert a 1911 Serpa to HiCappa Serpa

Righto,

After recently posting a modified serpa for sale with my TM HiCappa, i have had a few questions on 'how to' do this, So heres a rough guide which should help you alot:

The problem lies with the difference in trigger guard, On the HiCappa the trigger guard is larger and square, this is why it will not fit into your serpa, As the 1911 does not have this large trigger guard...

To combat this you need to cut a V out of your serpa holster, in the correct place (corner of the serpa where the trigger guard should sit) so the corner of your trigger guard has a gap to sit in rather than bashing against it and not going in properly.

As you can see in the center of this picture, there is the hole i have cut out to allow my trigger guard to sit in..


Here is a view from the top of the serpa, you can see the whole in the bottom...
