Cobra walkie talkies and acoustic tube problem please help
5 June, 2014, 22:05
Hi guys
I have bought a swat style head set for my cobra radios, the listing said they would work in the radios but only the speaker seams to work, the push button mic doesn't work.
So I thought I would push the jack in slowly and see if I could get it to work and it did. So this would mean to me that the jack has been wired up wrong..
Now I have take the unit apart and exposed the wires and started playing about Re-soldering the wires and I got the mic to work but then the speaker went quiet, it worked but was very quiet compared to before.
I just wondered if anyone could shine a light on this.
Cheers
si

I had a similar issue with my z-tac ptt, I just moulded a ring of epoxy resin around the base of the Jack plug to effectively shorten it. Works fine now.
