  • Silverback G17 laser grip

    Hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience with the silverback tokyo marui glock 17 laser grip at all? I find that even with gloves I have to grip the pistol extremely tight to get the laser to come on and it doesnt seem practical for shooting. Has anyone got any mods they've done to make it easier to press on the switch?

    Re: Silverback G17 laser grip

I used to use a silverback for my kwa glock,I had the same problem, I solved it by covering it with a guarder handguard/pistol slip-on grip and slipping some strips of flat thin plastic in between the pressure switch and cover

alternatively you could find some old inner tube to just slip over the pressure switch, and then add strips of plastic if you need them, mine was set up to work as soon has you held the pistol

or rubberised heat shrink probably 30mm diameter, put in on heat it up,when its tight against the pressure pad but not activating it,slip a strip of plastic(I used old credit card)

Havent got a pic, but basically a section of inner tube slid over the whole grip, silverback and all, and then strips of plastic to stop the tube from holding the switch on all the time (a strip placed on each side)

With the guarder slip on grip is any modification needed to to the rubber for it to fit?

no just stretch it over, i actually had to put the plastic over the pressure pad, its only a small bit, anyway you just need to experiment, you will get it right in the end
