Bi pod on my ak74?

As title states, need help from bipodded ak74 owners as im considering putting a bipod on my ak 74. My outer barrel has worn thread on the gas tube and in wondering if it would be sufficient to hold it in place?

Itll probably get in the way of my gp30 but i was just wondering.

Of course id only do this on the cheap. Cause im a tramp
