Why Simoniz Acrylic Paints > Krylon
17 April, 2010, 17:46
Krylon these days is overrated, purely because people use it on real steel equipment. However, I have had a much better experience with SIMONIZ Paints. They're Cheaper too. Give them a try.
My mate is buying an M4 mag from me, It was in OD and he wanted it black. I bought alot of SIMONIZ black spray and applied 1 small coat all over the mag. Job done.
Considering the mag was covered in marks and was a mix of grey, Green, Silver and black because I had tried to sand it down. The paints done an INSANE job.
Thats just my opinion though; Anyone care to share opinions?

+1 on Halfords matt black. I use it on aluminium parts I make for guns (good match for Cyma Thompsons too).

Re: Why Simoniz Acrylic Paints > Krylon
The point of krylon though is so its easily removed for change in ops/scenery.
And it is very good stuff when used correctly.
section 24 of the 1968 Act
Supplying imitation firearms to minors
1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.
