Removing the famas 'Thing'
22 April, 2010, 19:43
I was wondering, if anyone had successfully removed the 'thing' from the top of the rifle.
(some people call it a sight, but lets be honest. Its a thing.)
If so, how did you do it and what did you do about the massive cocking handle the remained ?
Regards,
Dan

You could call it a carry handle like on the m4a1

Also wondering about this, are you trying to fit a G36 rail? I'm thinking about it but wouldn't know how to get this 'carry handle' off in a way that doesn't cause serious cosmetic, or worse, functional damage.

I read it that there is a long screw somewhere u would have to take out.. Im pretty sure you have to take the gun apart to find the big screw in the reciever!
