Suitable repair for broken metal part
2 December, 2014, 14:43
Hi folks,
The shuttle that engages the bolt with the gearbox mechanism has broken on my Ares G36, basicallt the front with the lip that engages with the bolt has sheared. Has anyone got any experience with something like JB Weld to fix this sort of failure and would it hold up to the impact and strain that the part will be under?
Cheers!

Re: Suitable repair for broken metal part
If you apply JB Weld properly it can bond anything, I've fixed a split V2 gearbox with it before. Just make sure you clean the surfaces and give it the full 24hrs to bond and it should be good to go.
