RPG Sights on AK & SVD

Hi all,

I understand that RPG scopes use the same rail as the SVD and AK, but looking st the pictures, it seems that it is a vertical attachment, and does not lean over the top of any rifle.

Has anyone used these on their rifles? If so, how did you find the side mounted angle?

Keen to avoid the expense of another PSO this time around (even if it was a great scope) and would like to have a slightly alternative look to this next rifle.
